With the performance, scaling, and reliability advantages of DS4000 Series, many of these traditionally “midrange” arrays are being effectively deployed in traditional Large enterprise environments. These customers should all be using implementation services and remote support tools to ensure the enterprise-class configuration and support. IBM strongly recommends that all customers in complex environments and especially those utilizing the flagship DS4800 acquire Implementation services from either IBM or our business partners, and utilize the no-charge Remote Support Manager (RSM) software. This strong recommendation is made to ensure customers realize the full performance, scalability and availability of their DS4800!
eConfiguration tool changes have been made to make acquiring of these Implementation Services easier, and to ensure the inclusion in all DS4800 proposals to customers.
